A ray of sanity in the comments section of the National Post...(thank you, Pumpkin!)
Just to say...
If a *conservative* is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat.
If a *liberal* is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a *conservative* doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one.
If a *liberal *doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a *conservative* sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy.
A *liberal *wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.
If a *conservative* is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a *liberal* is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.
If a person of colour is *conservative*, they see themselves as independently successful.
Their *liberal * counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.
If a *conservative* is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A *liberal* wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a *conservative* doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
*Liberals* demand that those they don't like be shut down.
If a *conservative* is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A *liberal *non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless its a foreign religion, of course!)
If a *conservative *decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A *liberal* demands that the rest of us pay for his.

This is brilliant!
Thanks for posting it.
This MIGHT awaken a few brain-dead libtards--I'll spread it around.

I have to post a reply on this blog that I just stumbled upon. I have issues with a lot of the broad generalizations mentioned here but one that I take particual exception to is:
If a *conservative* is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a *liberal* is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.
You must realize how insane this sounds. As a homosexual myself I'm often offended by the term "shoving it down our throat." It's not being abrasive or outlandish to lead a life openly with a partner if you are gay. Quite often mentioning your boyfriend or girlfriend if you are gay is considered and afront to Christian sensibilities. I would and do demand legislated respect from the government. Quietly leading your life and never mentioning your partner, your home life, your children, your organizations, activities, etc is not to be respected. It's sad and shame-filled.
I also feel I should point out the legislative steps that conservatives have taken to prevent equality such as marriage bans, adoption bans, preventing anti-disctimination laws (which just happened today in VA). Not to mention the religious oppression that Christian conservatives place on non-Christians (Did you know that you can't be an Atheist and hold public office in Texas?). I think your facts may be a little biased and, for a website that has "truth" in the title, o so wrong.
