I for one love your Wonder Woman "handle". In all honesty it is a very good description of the lady who writes under that name. There is a big difference between being a Mark Twain or George Orwell and using an alias to hide your identity when committing despicable and questionable acts. And lets face it, using a pseudonym for your blog title is a way to get readers to look you up instead of Jane Doe, number 235.

I check your site daily to get your opinion on what is happening here and there. Your posts are always well thought out and reasonable and with the personal bits you share I never from the first one I read considered you anonymous. You personalize your posts quite nicely thank you.
Your site is an enjoyable read, the ones that caused all this discussion are vicious bits of trash. When surfing for interesting sites to read my first stop on them is always the last.
You have no need to defend yourself because of the actions of others.

"There have also been a number of high profile campaigns to “out” some of the more perturbatious among us."

I will defend your right to perturbate in public! Heh.

On a slightly more serious note:

"I challenge anyone to question my conviction to principle, regardless of the name I choose to write under."

I agree. I originally chose a pseudonym to stand out from the clutter, to make sure that the comments I made would not be confused with those of someone with a similar name. This was before I started blogging anywhere.

Had I known then that this thing would snowball the way it has, I don't know if I would have done things differently, but, as it is, a lot of people have come to know me by my "handle", who wouldn't be able to pick my real name out of a lineup!

Really? This is going on now? Honestly... grief. Some folks need to get a life.

How are the wedding plans coming along?

Wonder Woman

Thanks guys. To be clear, I haven't personally been called out with any criticism but I have often come across a lot of discussions about this that have equated anonymity with cowardice and it is a little haughty for some to judge this way. It's not to say that there aren't plenty of cowards out there that hide behind pseudonyms but there are plenty of cowards who are not ashamed enough to hide their names, either. I don't think the name they use is what really matters in this instance.

I appreciate the support and I hope I offer enough of a personal touch that you all feel you know me pretty well.

And Cathy...wedding plans? What are those? I'm still trying to catch a breath between birthdays and summer plans! I've got the dress and we nailed down our menu last week...I'm attempting to grow my own flowers in the backyard...it's coming so fast.

I will tell you what cowardice is: remaining silent in the face of an Islamic onslaught against civilization.
