...and the heaviest snowfall in the desert state of Nevada, in almost 30 years...
A rare winter storm swept through Southern Nevada Wednesday, dumping the most snow on the valley in nearly three decades, grounding flights at the airport, forcing the closure of major highways and closing schools for today.
Al Gore must have made a fly-over.

I really love one of the comments after the article where someone who is a " Global Warming believer " says that " This is a given not a debatable issue " !
Everything in science is debatable but there are winning arguments and losing arguments but one can always ARGUE or continue to look for new information or theories that will either confirm or contradict a theory !
One is always " FREE " to debate that the Earth is flat: It doesn't mean that one will be able to prove it but no one has the right to say that one can't try to make the argument.
As to the " Global Warming " is responsible for cooling that only works if one changes the name of the thing to " Climate Change " because one is losing the argument.
I can even accept that the argument is a valid one to suggest i.e. Global Warming might be causing local " Cooling ", but to say that any rebuttal or alternate theory is " VERBOTEN " because the theory is a given is completely closed minded and morally wrong in not respecting the freedom to think for oneself !
This is when environmentalism takes on the characteristics of a religion rather than science and dogma trumps evidence LOL.

I was tempted to stop in Vegas this week, but didn't, on my marathon trip to supposedly sunny California! I think it was because my hand was frozen to the wheel and I couldn't reach the turn signal to make a turn off Highway 40!

"dumping the most snow on the valley in nearly three decades,"
Yeah, no climate change there.
